THIS IS OUR GROUP PHOTO!!!! JUNKO ROCKS FOREVER!!!!
lalala, now i am gonna share about my obs le!!!! I was actually looking forward to this and it finally came... so i was anticipating lots of stuff... so here are the ppl who are in my watch JUNKO, elise, ester, chou yun, eyu, shumei, soo han, ying yan, xing xuan, jenzi, melwee, hui fun, meiling and me ;P. well it was a super nice experience but when u say u will not wan to go home on the last day, its not really true, alot of ppl were really homesick loh...( super loads of stuff to write!!!)
Day 1: We took the bus there but we took like damn long to really reach pulau ubin cause we had to wait for the boats and buses so we reached there at around noon well my instructor for obs was Candy, all i can say is that she is supernice, lalala very hard to put it in words well neway we also have this store where there are stuff like our ponchos, lifejackets and backpacks etc. There were actually too many ppl, so our lvl were also split into camp 1 and camp 2 and mine is at camp 2. For our first activity, we played this ice breaker thing ya, and i ended with being melwee, we had to exchange the tape with our name and say the cca, fear and hobbie so when u get the name u become the person and u have to exchange with 5 other ppl in this yep so it really quite simple oh but did i mention that we had to high five the other person first, then give a bum to bum lol... and we also have this store where there are stuff like our ponchos, lifejackets and backpacks etc. it is pretty cool after that i tink we had kayaking its like a lesson to prepare us for our expedition on that thurs so there were lots and lots of theory well then we finally went to the sea at first we were to make ourselves wet in the sea it was quite gross at first and we formed a circle holding hands then leaned back later, we kicked the water at each other, lol... after that meiling and i were the first i tink to do capsizing it was quite exciting, but wheni was trying to get out, the kayak did hit me alittle on the head but all in all it was quite ok, so after evry pair had gone, we were to kayak further out and do our capsizing and also the see saw after that. so me and meiling were actually partnering ying yan and soo han and it was so cool after i capsize cause i can actually feel the squishy/muddy ground and it is not really very near the shore and i managed to climb back up after the see saw, but meiling took some time, but in the end she succeeded lol... then ying yan and soo han did it too but unfortunately, they couldn't feel the ground so i tink this made it harder for them... so i tink that is about all for our day and at night, it was our first time cooking our own dinner out side lol... we had rice and canned food and it actually tasted quite ok i was like super full,lalala and we slept in the tent we pitched.
(ps. there was lots of ants lah omg... keep invading our food lol so when we cleared up, we poured lots of water and the next morning, there were actually holes in the sand cause it is their nest bah)
Day 2: We did a little of pt( not exactly) and played some games to warm up XDXDXD... then we headed for our jetty jump!!!! lalala i was the first to jump among marco polo and junko well i guess its because i jump before that height for my gold star so it wasn't that scary but of course my heart beat quite fast too and off the board i went lol so there were like important ppl coming to look at us and ya... so joanna hesitated alittle before she managed to jump and in the end evryone did it :) sam and i were like thinking of jumping agin lol... but well after that we bathed and went for belaying we took turn being the angler, belayer, climber and also the assitant belayer it we quite fun. Later we went for the trust fall, and i thought it was pretty nice when i fell but meiling was pretty scared and worried and i tink she wasn't feeling very good about it but of course she did it, after that we had our lunch(which is bread, fruit, biscuit etc.) and went to climb the rock wall.i had quite a hard time climbing the first one and super tired it was quite funny when i actually forgot how to say my group name(we were supposed to say junko rocks before coming down) well then i really am very challenged when i was climbing the even harder one, this one is like totally vertical and man made but i was like falling and falling but jenzi xing xuan they all were cheering me on so i pratically used the encouragement to go up i was giving up but i persevered and got to the top! XDXDXD sam and hui qing also got up but they were like super pro i am nth compared to them lah... they are damn strong it was like quite easy for them loh... neway when xing xuan was climbing, it started raining le loh... so in the end we went to shelter... it is like 5 plus then and we later took the backpacks they provided and went to some ulu beach side place for our night. We trekked for like 30 mins with marco polo and our bags are like damn heavy loh... so after we reached there, we fromed a circle to give evryone a massage lol... we pitched the tents first and hui fun kept calling melwee mary and meiling kept singing mary had a little lamb anyway after pitching we ate the food(very delicious!) cook by some of them and then we had to wash the utensils etc, but it is like super dark loh, we had to make our way to the beach side pour the contents in to the hole dugged and then wash it at the sea, it wasn't easy cause it was quite dark, i went twice down there, cause i was helping out ;p... after we got back, alot of us three sixers (except for shumei)were gathered in circle lol and we crapped and sing alot haha like crazy ppl (very noisy XD). Thats pretty much all for day two and we went to sleep lah...
Day3: ok we played some games in the morning then we were taught hor to navigate using the map ( but i was quite lousy...-.-)oh ya, and there are no toilets there u have to go to the bushes to do your stuff... neway after that, we trekked back to the 2nd campus first and we do lots of stuff before trekking to the different checkpoints... during the trekking i was totally crapping all the way with meiling(cause we were supposed to be the entertainers mah) and we were totally zi high lalala...when we reached the third checkpoint, we couldn't find the thing we wanted loh, but when marco polo came too we managed to find it too :) ...after this we went to this lake which used to be a quarry and we were supposed to build a raft lol... we ended up not haveing enough ropes so neway when our raft is in the water, one side of it keep overturning well and xingxuan had to keep climbing up and coming down, well at least we did have some fun but maroco polo's was quite successful they managed to get evryone onboard... then we had to change to like dry clothes and it is like damn irritating, cause there were lots of mosquitos!!!! and we had to change in the bushes,meiling and i went even further in cause we were all paiseh of ppl looking lalala and when i was changing i got like 6 mosquito bites...-.- i tink my blood too sweet... so later... we started trekking and its like the way to the camp 1 it was just super far... haiz so we were like singing chatting along( i kept singing) oh and meiling is like most xin ku le!!! she carried 2 tents and also her backpack throughout the whole trekking lah...neway when we reached camp 1 we had to start pitching tents loh but we got to enjoy dinner provided by them, lol... ya and i finally got to bathe after one and a half day... we had a briefing about the kayaking expedition the next day and suddenly me and meiling suddenly became 2 of the 4 leaders together with huiqing and georgi, i was very stressed cause i was asked to navigate and i did make some mistakes lah....very sorry!!!!!!!:(...
Day4: we got the evryone to wake up at like 5.30 and unpitch etc so it took some time to get evrything done and ya after breakfast we loaded the backpacks to the boat to be sent to camp 2 and i got to sit in the boat :p so shumei, georgi, huifun, melwee and me (i tink) carried the many backpacks and tents to shelter after that, we went back to meet the rest and after doing some cheers our expedition began!!! i got quite frustrated haiz quite bao4 qian4 and i also led them to this wrong gate which i thought is the gate to the swamp haiz and after that we went to the right one so we rafted up and drifted with the current while applying sunblock and eating lunch and we started kayaking agin... so here is like my major mistake le... cause i suck at navigating so i missed the one turning to the right ( i was told to keep turning right but then didn't) i too blur not very sure so then we went right up until alot of us got stuck and cause the place is quite narrow so the current was like super strong and we had a hard time to go back and i tink we were stuck there for like 30-45 mins and wasted like 1hr plus so evryone were helpless and frustrated, the instructors actually helped us to kayak back pair by pair and some even got stucked agin because of the strong current... i am quite sorry loh... cause i was the person who landed them in this state, but Candy said cause of the delay, the tide is higher so we did not have to carry our kayak through the thing but i bet she also said this to make me feel better bah so after that, i from a navigator become a sweeper, cause i also quite scared that i will make some mistake agin and then we had to cross the road to the other side and it was super funny about huiqing doing sth in her kayak, but i shall not talk bout it and we got through the rest of the swamp and out to the sea well... joanna and jiamin were quite slow but i know its not their fault cause the current was against us for almost the whole journey and they are both super tired already and i was like thinking of changing places with joanna but then in the end they still managed to complete it all by themselves so shumei and i were cheering them and pushing them... yep until we reached camp 2 and some of them so funny, they were doing capsizing somewhere near camp 2 lol... neway eventhough we completed the expedition, we had to wash our kayaks and also carry them back to the racks so we were all quite sian but wateva we did finish doing evrything. The instructors told us that we took like 8 plus hrs for this and kayaked for 7-10km,lol ( my bro they all only took 2hrs plus for 28 km marathon!!!!OMG) so after that we still had to pitch tents and bathe etc...i was like quite sian le loh... so georgi and me used water hose to clean ourselves alittle first then i wasted quite alot of time there cause i was quite sian to do anything and had those bad vibes as well so after bathing i went to look xing xuan, zhi hui, huiqing and nicolette? cook dinner the food was very nice too they used up all the canned food for our final dinner there...and i managed to make milo too (by putting 3 in1 milo into my bottle, add in cold water and SHAKE!!!!) Meiling did not eat anything that night cause she said she was tired but i regretted not going to look for her...neway, we had to wash our life jackets backpacks and ponchos after evrything loh... we were already super tired but had to do so many stuff so after doing some stuff then we got to sleep.
Day 5: We had to wake up at 5.30 agin. unpitch tents and then wash up evrything and put them neatly back in the store, and seirously, we took the whole morning cleaning and scrubbing but i still had some time to act crazy lol... after that we gathered and played this "psst. game" well due to my slow reaction, we got 2 chops? ya meiling and melwee too... but zhiying got the most and she was supposed to get one of the more handsome instructor's handphone number but of course she didn't lah...we also shared our highest and lowest points ya... so then we waited to go home!!!! yingyan, sam, jenzi and i chatted alittle so later it was time to go home but its quite sad that i didn't get to take the same boat with meiling they all back and also the bus but i got to take a photo with Candy though XDXDXD... oh... and i also bought an OBS polo tee!!!!
wah.... i crapped like freaking lots of stuff almost evrything le... :p so u can see we actually gone through alot...anyway, i will miss obs days, it really is memorable!!!! i am quite sad too after i got back but now i shld be ok le XDXDXD.
(ps. dun say that i am too luo suo..actually this post is more for me to remember the stuff which happened, neway i dun tink anyone will read the whole thing bah...0.o)
